Specialising in global beats and the fusion of traditional and modern sounds, as well as in connecting people and nature through music, the experienced Muzică team offer high quality production services for musicians, artists and film-makers.

MWF has also produced a range of bespoke compilations for art galleries, fashion shows, art installations, hotels and other venues. The team design playlists for restaurants, bars, private launches, and also offer music supervision for film productions.

Record Label

The Muzică Without Frontiers record label was established by Nico de Transilvania for the production and release of her debut album Be One, which features traditional folkloric instruments and songs from her homeland. Profits from sales supported the Forests Without Frontiers project in Romania. The MWF label welcomes global artists from all around the world, aligning with the Without Frontiers ethos, and exciting new albums are currently in development.

interbeing

The latest album release from MWF is Interbeing by Nico de Transilvania, released in 2022. It’s a magical concept album that weaves together recordings of elders and traditional instruments with nature soundscapes in an electronic composition for the modern world. The album has an accompanying film and photography which bring the moving stories of the people and environmental challenges faced to life.

Artist Nico de Transilvania is the founder of Forests Without Frontiers and all profits from the album go towards regenerating this endangered landscape.

be one

Be One is the debut album released by Nico de Transilvania. The long awaited follow up to ‘Come get your sisters’ synthesises electronic dance music with traditional Romanian instruments and folk songs. This fusion of genres has resulted in a groundbreaking eight track LP which has been crafted to bring together a mix of influences, reflecting one of Nico’s inimitable DJ sets which seamlessly unites bouncy Balkan beats with drum and bass, deep-house, folktronica and dance music.

Be One is available to purchase on Limited Edition 12” Vinyl, CD or as a digital album.

MWF has also produced five mixes, each with its own theme, and including a Forest Without Frontiers mix with accompanying visuals from the Carpathian forests.

Radio Show

Nico hosted a regular show on local radio station 1BrightonFM, where she played an eclectic mix of world music, swing, blues, tropical, Balkan and Eastern sounds combined with new electronic sounds that she loves.

“The music I play has been influenced by my childhood memories of old traditional folk, gypsy and fanfara music. But after experiencing music of different cultures around the world I can’t help but introduce new elements into what I do, uniting them with a contemporary electronic sound. The tunes that move me and make me dance are the ones that end up in my sets. The style or genre doesn't matter.” NdT
